A living room tragicomedy exploring grief and loss through farce and a magic eight ball. Amir didn’t just write a script though. They also created a game, a puzzle, a collage, and a trap all in one. Amir is a collage artist and it shows in their theatrical work just as much as their fine art. I have always seen this piece as a vanitas painting just as much as it is a play. It’s a meditation on death, grief, and memory.
